Support Introduction

Setting the scene

Support can mean many different things to different people at different times in life. In the briefest sense, we can define and accept the term “support” to mean having someone or something to help you, be there for you and keep you on the proverbial “straight and narrow”. You may feel that you don’t have enough support in one or more of these areas:
  • Unsure of what to study
  • Not sure what interests you
  • Do not feel equipped enough to make a career decision
  • Don’t know what jobs are out there
  • Have not been exposed much to real world ideas
  • Feel lost and not knowledgeable
  • In a liminal state
  • Battling to establish personal goals and expectations
  • Difficulty navigating life in general
  • Confused by what people are doing career wise
  • Not knowing what is for you
  • Have been exposed to too much or too little and are overwhelmed (by possibilities and responsibilities)
  • Have ideas but no knowledge or experience to execute them
  • Bored and dissatisfied
